13’s Fittest

Welcome to the inaugural 13’s Fittest … a celebration of fitness for the CF13S community! Our goal is to create a fun competition in an encouraging and friendly environment with workouts to challenge experienced and first-time competitors! So grab a partner, get signed up, and we will see you on March 2!

DETAILS

When: Saturday, March 2 at 8:00am; first WOD begins at 9:00am
Cost: $30/person or $60/team (includes event t-shirt, refreshments and donation)
Divisions: Rx (10 team cap) and Scaled (10 team cap); can be same-sex or co-ed

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Capt. Brian J. McNally USMC Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will be given to a Morristown High School graduating senior who will be attending a four-year college, demonstrates community service in the Morristown community, and plans to major in criminal justice, law and protection, healthcare, nursing and or emergency management/public safety. The scholarship is a celebration of Brian and his many accomplishments by recognizing those with his like-minded focus on service.

WORKOUTS

WOD 1 – “Push It”
Partner 1 – 2 minute max bench press reps
Partner 2 – 2 minute max bench press reps
1 minute of rest
Partner 1 – 500m/400m row
Partner 2 – 500m/400m row

Rx – 115/75, damper on setting of your choice
Scaled – 75/45, damper on setting of your choice

Score: (P1 row time + P2 row time) – (P1 bench reps + P2 bench reps as seconds off of total row time)

WOD 2 – “Push It Good”
8 minute time cap
Partner 1 – 10 goblet squats and 10 mb step-overs
Partner 2 – max reps of handstand push-ups (Rx) / push-up (Scaled)

Rx – 53/35, 20/14, 24/20, one full pad under head
Scaled – 35/26, 14/10, 20/16, two full pads under chest

Score: (2A) rounds + reps completed; (2B) total push-ups completed

WOD 3 – “Push It Real Good”
10 minute time cap
100 kb swings
75 wall balls
50 burpees over the bar
25 deadlifts

Rx – 53/35, 20/14, 275/155
Scaled – 35/26, 14/10, 185/115

Score: time completed or time cap + missed reps counted as seconds

WOD 4 – “Finals”
The top 3 Rx and Scaled teams will move on to the finals, which wil be announced on the day of!

VOLUNTEERS / JUDGES

And now for the backbone of the whole operation … we are looking for up to 10 judges, and up to 5 volunteers to help with the day as well. You can also register for a volunteer or judge on the registration link. This will give us an accurate head count and also give us your t-shirt information!
