Yoga mixed into my 13 Stars training? Really? Why? If you are not someone currently mixing yoga into your training, and understand the benefits, give some consideration to the following…
- Yoga improves your range of motion and general mobility – Basic yoga poses like downward facing dog, warrior two, and pigeon help reinforce external rotation of the hip and shoulder necessary for many basic movements of CrossFit.
- Yoga keeps you fit and is a great workout – A yoga class can be hard, really hard if you’re not used to it. It also keeps you looking sexy. And we all know CrossFitters like to look good: topless, in Lululemon sports bras and Reebok bootie shorts, and especially naked.
- Yoga builds community – Essence of yoga is the concept that if we connect deeper to ourselves, our bodies, our breath, and the present moment then we ultimately will connect more deeply to one another.
Yoga classes are open to everyone, members and non-members. Classes are $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
