Welcome To April!
Whether you were celebrating Passover, Easter, or none of the above … we hope you had a great weekend! This weekend looked like the beginning of some nice weather ahead this week.
With our squat strength cycle behind us (as well as deload week deemed “shoulder assassination week” by some) we are moving on to our clean strength cycle. We will be testing our 1RM of the clean, power clean, and the bench press. Our strength day this cycle will be the power clean and the front rack lunge.
Have you gotten into the habit of eating dinner in front of the TV during the quarantine? A recent New York Times article talks about “zombie eating” and how many of us are just going through the motions while eating instead of sitting down and enjoying ourselves. And the article talks about going back to the table … setting the table, and making it a separate part of your day instead of just sitting down with your phone or TV to eat. Eating in front of a TV hinders the act of appreciation of what you’re eating and thus you end-up munching more of junk and unhealthy food items that you should actually avoid.
