Week of October 27th

COMPETITIONS:
This weekend CF13S had two teams competing at Rock the WOD 2 at CrossFit West Essex in Fairfield, Allison with Ryan J and JVags with (honorary member) Rebecca. A great day for the competitors, PRs, energy, and excitement. If you’re interested in a competition, they are not as scary as pictures may seem, and there are PLENTY out there geared for a wide range of skill level. So, if you have an interest, let us know, and we will find an event for you. Just have to get passed that first one to realize it’s not all that bad.

HALLOWEEN FIESTA
The rundown can be found here, but the basic details are this Friday we are having a party to celebrate dia del muerte for members and friends! Costumes are (of course) mandatory, and your entrance fee is either a snack or drinks. Both will go. We are canceling the 5:30pm and 6:30pm classes to prepare … and the kick-off is 8:00pm. Hope to see you there!

PALEO CHALLENGE – ROUND II
The winner has been determined, and will be announced shortly. Thank you to everyone who took part … and to everyone who stuck with it to the end. Health and fitness is not easy, but a clean eating challenge goes to show how much more you can get out of your workouts if you put the time in in the kitchen as well. PRs, weight lost, looking better, feeling better … all great things.

OPEN GYM
We will have Open Gym on Thursday, but only at the 6:30pm class. You are welcome to attend a morning class and workout in the evening on something else if you’d like.

NO IDEA SPORTS

Monday – short strength (overhead squats) + short metcon
Tuesday – skill work + long metcon
Wednesday – short strength (bench press) + short metcon
Thursday – benchmark / 6:30pm open gym
Friday – strength (press + front squat)
Saturday – Intro to CrossFit (individuals) @ 8:00am; Intro to CrossFit (partner WOD) @ 9:00am
