CK passed along this opinion piece from the New York Times entitled “When the Government Tells You What To Eat” and it reminds me of umpteenth conversations I have had with my students over the years when they learn what I do and do not eat. If I am speaking to a group of students inevitably one of them is going to bring up the food pyramid, and why don’t I follow it. Some ideas become so engrained in peoples’ minds that it takes a long time, and sometimes even more than one generation, to steer people in the right direction.
