Did you know that there are male and female bell peppers? The next time you are about to cook with one, take a look at the bottom of the pepper. A pepper with 3 bumps is a male, and a pepper with 4 bumps is a female. The female peppers tend to be full of seeds, but are sweeter and better for eating raw. A male pepper is better for cooking.
