My NY Times trolling compadre, Christopher Kenny (aka CK1) found this article called “Fitness Crazed” … and the moral of the story here is … fitness doesn’t need to be super complicated to be effective. You don’t need machines and fancy equipment, just a couple of barbells, your own bodyweight, and an interest in bettering yourself. A longer article than most I put on here, but it references a great book, and is an informative overall read.
