When I am first going over the WOD with my classes I like to talk about how I would approach the workout if I were doing it with you. I like to mention things like when to break, how hard you should be going, is it a sprint or should I break reps up into manageable chunks, what time frame should you be aiming for and so on. Like most things in life, if we go into the workout with a plan we’re much better off than if we hit the ground running and are completely out of breath by minute 3. I came across this post from “5 Questions To Improve Your WOD Performance” from KitBox and I thought they were very basic, yet very necessary, questions to ask yourself before the clock starts. It’s not a long read, but I found it to be a very worthwhile one.
