The Pillsbury Gluten-Free Cookie Dough that I put in today’s post image is a good example of how a product slapped with the “gluten-free” label isn’t always going to be the best option you can find. If you’re going to take the plunge of a gluten-free lifestyle you might as well spend the few extra bucks and get the better quality product. It’s pretty safe to say that Pillsbury is never going to have a truly healthy gluten-free (nevermind Paleo) option, because it will just not be cost effective for them. That being said, not many large, name-brand companies are going to give you that quality either. But it is nice to see large companies recognizing the need for different options in the store.
